Sometimes the memory goes after 20 years or more, but my favorite sunnies

dish was a salad that was basically just sunnies, avocado and (I think)

tomatoes. It may just have been the sunnies and avocado. It would have had

either a balsamic dressing or a tahini based dressing (maybe it was the

tahini dressing made with tomatoes). They served it one summer when I was

in the Ashram as part of a raw foods area.

This weekend, at costco, I found a bag of Hemp Hearts which are

(unfortunately <sigh> - would love to sprout or grow them) hulled, so you

can use them in a dish either as an add-in (sprinkled on top) or make

something like a tahini dressing or use them in a place where you'd use

cashew nuts to make something creamy. They taste a bit like a combination

sunflower/sesame seed.

Hemp hearts are a great way to add some meat like mouth feel to a meal. Makes

you feel like you ate something of substance. They have your protein, good fats

as well and taste nutty. Very satisfying sprinkled on a salad, mixed into a

dressing or added to a smoothie!!
