Guest guest Posted December 27, 2007 Report Share Posted December 27, 2007 Thanks for the welcome. My brother goes to the doctor soon to discuss the meds he is on. The Tegretol makes him feel like a zombie and he can't function like that. He has always been active and doesnt like the immobility. He also takes Lyrica and I want to say Cymbalta also. At any rate, things do seem to be moving along for him. He has taken the testing the the Texas Rehab Commission that will assist him with part time work to get him out of the house. He is finally accepting that he needs assistance walking and all; he will finally use the cane. This is a very interesting website with some awesome links and a wealth of info. A big thanks to all for the wonderful info. I am slowly but surely going thru all of it and sending it to my brother. How exactly does the genetic issue work? His grandmother has a mild case; she gets around pretty well, and his real brother has no signs or symptoms or issues whatsoever.
