This group really seems to be more about politics and the news. I really don't think this is the group for me. Thanks for welcoming me in, but I really just don't belong here. " Let's see ... you joined to talk about being an adult with AS and yet the discussions YOU started had nothing to do with AS. What's more, you didn't CHOOSE to being any new discussions pertaining to what it's like to be an adult with AS. YOU bear the brunt of the blame for not having your needs met. If you want to talk about something, then create the discussion rather than wait around for someone else to do that for you. I see a common behaviour in the little you have posted -- you like to complain about how your needs are NOT being met whether it's in your music career or a discussion group/forum et al. Jaden if everyone sat around waiting for everyone else to read their minds and then fill their needs, nothing would get done. Oh wait a minute ... that IS what usually happens in the world save for a handful of active people who actually implicate themselves in the world, in society, in their community, et al. Guest guest
Hi Raven: Thank You for the reminder that we each need to take what action we can to bring about what we need or want in a situation. Of course there are no guarantees that what we do will bring about the desired change but we each still need to do what we can. I believe that a strong organization is formed by strong individuals banding together to work both for the common good and for individual well being or satisfaction. While it is important to work for the common good, it is also important to take care of one's own needs as well. One cannot sacrifice everything one is in the name of doing what is best for the many. Even moments stolen away to meditate is still time for one's own well being, as it should be. The trick in life is to balance both sides of the equation so that nothing is askew. Thank you for adding your comments to this subject. Raven
