Police have a 15 year old in custody they believe is responsible for two threatening prank calls to Lincoln's Verizon call center this week. Officer Flood said police responded to a bomb threat Monday night after someone called an Arizona call center saying he had a bomb and was shooting people in Lincoln. No threat was found. Then Flood said Thursday night at 10:22 the Arizona center received another call from someone who said they were shooting people in Lincoln and threatened to cut someone's head off. Flood said officers called security at the center who said no one was there, that they had closed early for Christmas. Flood said LPD was able to track the calls to the teen's great grandmother through a number he gave on Monday. Police say his grandmother is his guardian and she told police he was a high-functioning autistic and was upset with Verizon because they wouldn't give him a phone. The teen was arrested and taken to the youth detention center.
