Guest guest
Thanks Lillian I am very skint but if it will help I am sure we could miss out something. If it doesn't show hyopoglycaemia though that may be a problem as i don't think I have symptoms of high blood sugar unless I am missing something. I would be very interested in doing this and i will check out the prices of the sticks tomorrow. Thanks so much for that valuable info, it would be good to be able to find something out for myself and not have to ask the doc lol. God bless hon Dawnx > > Dawn, > > I do not know your financial circumstances, but if it is possible for you to purchase a blood glucose meter from the chemist you could test your blood sugar at the times you are getting a hypo and write them down to show your doctor your figures. The meters themselves are not too expensive, the cost comes when buying the test strips to use with them. > >
Guest guest
Hi Dawn I think hypo=glycaemia would mean " low blood sugar " . Guest guest
Thanks for this ladies, this is all such a revelation to me. I did have a weird do as I say and was confused before I went onto armour before I started boosting my adrenals when I came home and then I went on armour, I think it is getting worse though. I found a great flyer that this super research guy in Australia wrote, you can find it here if you are interested He suggests glycerine as an emergency relief which could be useful for some people taking armour I feel who are suffering these symptoms. here... http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/WhatIsHypoPM.pdf lotsa luv and God bless Dawnx > > Adrenaline blocks insulin, so as a diabetic my blood sugar rises (hyperglaecemia) if I have an argument or am stressed in any way. Guest guest
I have also wondered this and this is one of the reasons that many of us, when we are needing to increase our thyroid hormone replacement (synthetic or natural) need to take extra adrenal supplements to get us over the increase and help our body to cope. Luv - Sheila Adrenaline blocks insulin, so as a diabetic my blood sugar rises (hyperglaecemia) if I have an argument or am stressed in any way. Guest guest
Hi folks Well I consulted with an expert on hypoglycema and he gave me a link to this set letter which I am going to send to the doctor. I will post it here in case it is useful to some other people.... The four hour medical Test for Hypoglycemia explained at: http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/testing_hypoglycemia.html There is a letter attached to that article. Copy it and give it to your doctor. If the doctor is not willing, please ask to be referred to a Nutritional Doctor or a Clinical Nutritionist. See: Looking for Complementary Health Practititioners at: http://curezone.com/upload/PDF/Articles/jurplesman/Looking_for_Doctors.pdf Having a thyroid problem needs to be handled by a Nutritional Doctor and by medication. You can take your temperature in the morning before getting out of bed to monitor your metabolic rate and check the effects of your medication. It is explained in the article: What is Hypoglycemia at: http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/what_is_hypo.html see type 4 hypoglycemia. Also test yourself with the The Nutrition-Behavior Inventory Questionnaire (NBI) at: http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/nutrition-behavior_inventory.html and the The Hypo Quizz at: http://www.hypoglycemia.org/hypo_test.asp Also read: Beating Anxietiy and Phobias at: http://www.hypoglycemia.asn.au/articles/beating_anxiety.html See also: http://www.hastingspress.co.uk/hypo/ http://www.alternativementalhealth.com/articles/hypoglycemia.htm As to OCD read: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Nutrition. http://curezone.com/upload/PDF/Articles/jurplesman/OCD_and_Nutrition.pdf luv Dawnx

Guest guest
Thanks Bob, thanks Shiela That paper is fascinating because years ago when I was suffering symptoms before the computer I had a full set of 'health encyclopedia' cards and I used to think I had similar symptoms to beriberi but also thought nahhhhh lol. Yes it is a shock Shiela, I hope I am wrong about what I saw on the notes, but it looks clear enough . I may try and get an independant advocate to take notes as my mum will chat constantly bless her, and my men don't write very quickly despite their quick minds. I wish you could be with me too Shiela. I may be able to get my son to take notes on the computer as he is a mean typist, I shall think on it. Thanks again for all the help and support here. Luv n stuff Dawnx > > Hi dawn > > Let us know how you get on with your doctor - this, once again, shows what an appalling situation we are having to put up with. Guest guest
OH sorry also if I did not make it clear, I was still on Thyroxine but not yet on Armour when those tests were done. I would imagine we would come to the same conclusion as someone not on thyroid treatment though lotsa luv Dawnx > > Hi dawn > > Let us know how you get on with your doctor - this, once again, shows what an appalling situation we are having to put up with. Guest guest
Hi Dawn, This is a revelation. http://www.springerlink.com/content/563g7112gn6u8407/ Thyrotoxicosis Associated Wernicke's Encephalopathy DOI 10.1007/s11606-007-0438-3 Bonucchi(1) , Ihab Hassan(1), Bruno Policeni(2) and Kaboli (1,3) you must ask to be tested, very specifically, for B1 deficiency and maybe an MRI scan too. best wishes Bob > > Thanks Bob, thanks Shiela > > That paper is fascinating because years ago when I was suffering > symptoms before the computer I had a full set of 'health encyclopedia' > cards and I used to think I had similar symptoms to beriberi but also > thought nahhhhh lol.
