Guest guest Posted October 30, 2007 Report Share Posted October 30, 2007 Hello ers, 2 interesting bit of news from my life: last week I saw a new neurologist who was wonderful - since my early childhood and adult records are gone, I gave him a 1 page outline of my neuro history. He sees both adults and pediatrics. He asked some questions, did a thorough neuro exam, had a copy of my EMG/NCV, explained that I never should have been given Primidone (because one of the ingredients can make CMT worse!) and got me back on Elavil. In the last 3 days I have noticed a big difference for the best! He also believes that my CMT is Recessive...I took in my family trees, etc. So the " Recessive " moniker is another part of the CMT puzzle that fits. It is like more is revealed when I am ready to hear it. So for now I have some sort of Type 2 Recessive CMT. Next bit of news is that I spent most of the afternoon being interviewed by another reporter about . More on this later when the story comes out. Thanks to all who asked about the fires. While I am about a 6 hour drive from SD, we had out own burning here earlier this summer, also arson. O, Karon, others in SD, hope you are OK.
