Guest guest
Under the heading of 'consider the source'...I just wanted to point out that this article was written by Dr. Blaylock, who some may consider controversial. To judge for yourself, you may want to visit his website. While visiting, you may notice that he also strongly believes over-vaccination is the cause of the increase in autism, another very controversial topic. http://www.russellblaylockmd.com/ As for Statins...The recent " bad news " was regarding Zetia, which is not a statin. Zetia was added to a statin in the hopes that these two medications together would produce better results than the statin alone. Unfortunately, the results were worse than statins alone, which was very disappointing for the makers of Zetia and for those of us looking for a non-statin solution. Clearly, there is still much that needs to be learned on this topic and many of us are faced with the difficult dilemma of deciding now whether or not to take statins. In making this decision, it's wise to consult with a trusted physician. If your doctor is not familiar with statins in CMT patients, who may want to share the attached... http://www.charcot-marie-tooth.org/PDF/NeuroMeds.pdf. The information is very limited, but it may help in the decision-making process.
