Guest guest
The visit to the Dr. was interesting. I received a shot of steroids in the tendons for the tendenitis. But when injected the needle with steroids into the wrist for the numbness, I actually came off the chair and half way across the table with my other hand in a fist. He looked at me as I said, just do it through gritted teeth. At that point he withdrew the needle and asked what was going on inside my wrist. I said it felt like a bolt of hot lighting shooting through and going out the tips of my fingers. He said that the nerve that is restricted and causing the numbness has shifted a great deal and that the needle was very very close to the nerve. So he moved the injection over a bit and all was fine then. If this helps then I will have the surgery to correct the numbness and the carpel tunnel which should straighten the fingers. If it does not help, he will NOT do surgery, because he feels that it would not work. So we are giving this a few weeks to see what happens. Good news is the two bones that were fractured have healed great. Elaine in Michigan
