Guest guest Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 UH receives grant for disability studies http://www.bizjournals.com/pacific/stories/2008/02/11/daily14.html The University of Hawaii Center on Disability Studies has received a $53,000 grant from NEC Foundation of America. NEC Foundation announced Tuesday that it has awarded six organizations for advancing the independence and full participation in society of people with disabilities through the use of innovative technology. UH was given the grant for its pilot study to determine the applicability and effectiveness of the Remote Accessibility Assessment System for people with disabilities in underserved areas, NEC said.
