Guest guest
Hi Connie, I think it is about $900 or $950 by now. But remember, you MUST report your work to SSA, the amount you earn, and for how long you work, and what you do. And be careful, because if you go over the limit, it will kick off a " Trial Work Period " , which may find that you CAN do " Substantial Gainful Benefit " work, and therefore disqualified for SSDI. The home base business that I'm considering is stuffing envelopes, which isn't big money just something extra. Some friends of my sister does this for this company so it is legit. Not sure how well this would work out, so I did not want to it if it took away from my disability. I went to ssa.gov and could not find what I needed to know. Thanks for any help you can give me. Guest guest
Hi Connie, This is the official amount a disabled person can earn without benefits being stopped: " the monthly SGA amount for 2008 is $940. But, In 2007, any month in which earnings exceed $640 is considered a month of services for an individual's trial work period. In 2008, this monthly amount increases to $670 " .
