Why do you need to rehydrate the entire brick? Will you be using all of it now?

Use a saw or knife to cut it into sections. Put a portion into a dish pan and

some water. It is ready when it is moist, but not dripping. Make more when you

need it.

can, one like you use outside to do that. I thought of the cans at Lowe's but

they are only 5 gallons. Might have to have 3 of them and somehow cut up the

coir into thirds. Could use the bins afterwards to create planters with water

in the bottom and a PVC tube down the side to water it. There was a tutorial on

line. Someone said she gets the 5 gallon containers from bakeries where they

have flour in them. That would really be nice. I think the lids were important

as it was the divider between the potting soil or growing medium and the water

in the bottom.
