Electric Shocks

Every once in a while, in my sleep, I'm awakened by what feels like someone

has touched the bottom of my 'good' (ha!) foot with 110 volts of

electricity. It doesn't happen with my surgically rebuilt, mostly numb,

other foot (which has its own issues).

Does anyone else experience this? I suspect it is part of restless leg

syndrome, as it seems to accompany twitchy nights.

thanks. O

Oh yeah! All the time. My sister and I used to complain about it and

Dad would say, " everybody gets those, don't worry about it " . I didn't

know until much later that it was just our family and now all of you

guys. My daughter gets them now too. Sometimes it's an annoying stab.

Sometimes its a jolt that brings me up out of my chair. But by the time

I react it's over. I sometimes get them in my fingers too.

Hi 0,

I get the electric shocks. I get them in my feet, outer calf area, and toes

(mostly middle & pinky). I have burning legs/feet, for which I take Neurontin.

I've not been diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome.
