Guest guest
I have been fighting some unknown neurological problem for years. I was dx'd in 2000 with Fibromyalgia, but my neurologist and rheumotologist both say that's the least of my problems. Last year, the neuro mentioned CMT but didn't do any testing. I am scheduled to go back in Feb. Here's my symptoms: neuropathy on left side (feet and hand), plantar fascilits (also, left foot), high arches, pain (which may be from the fibro,) difficulty hearing and understanding which is getting worse, dropping things with my left hand, stumbling with my left foot, brisk reflexes (hyperreflexia), jaw jerk, degenerative disk, spinal stenosis, two herienated disk in my neck, and a bunch of other stuff I am not even going to go into. I was awarded my Social Security Disability in November after working 15 years in the education field. My neuro has mentioned MS, MG, unknown genetic thing, even a version of MD. I keep on hoping someday soon I will get a dx just so I can go on with my life. My father passed away 37 years ago from a heart attack and all his family have also died so I can't trace them to see if they had any of my symptoms. They too could have had CMT. What's everyone's opinion?
