Dear Lee,

"I saw my neurologist today and she thinks that I should try, yet another, neck pillow. I do not normally sleep with a pillow and never had."

If you don't usually sleep with a pillow then perhaps your instincts know what's right for your body?

"I have spent countless dollars on pillows that were supposed to be wonderful for my neck"

Me too and none of them work. I have some posts saved from a topic on pillows earlier that I will send out for you, they might help??

Love, Aisha

Hi Lee

About 12 yrs ago I finally gave up on pillows, trying many different

kinds that were supposed to be good for your neck.

I have a scoliosis, and when my neck " goes out " it just burns with

pain. I also get chronic headaches from this, and feel as though my

neck just cannot hold my head up.

Anyway, I have never looked back since, if I accidently fall asleep

while reading with a pillow, then I have neck pain for days. It felt

really strange to sleep without a pillow at first but I would never

go back now. I have half the amount of neck problems that I used to

have. I am not sure exactly why your neurologist said that you should

have a pillow, however, I agree with Aisha, your body knows best. If

she has a good reason for recommending one, maybe you could try it

out, if you can claim it. However, if it was expensive, and you had

to wear the cost, I know that I personally wouldnt bother. Just my

opinion, from one non-pillow user to another :-)

the neck to sleep with an appropriate pillow. Does anyone have an

input on this? I hate to buy another useless pillow. She said that

maybe the insurance would help cover it and she wrote a prescription.

I promised her I would give it a shot.

Thanks for your input. I am going to see if Medicare will cover it, or if there is a guarantee.
