Guest guest
I was forced to another state. Oregon. And it was an easy deal. A pharmacist ran the whole program and he was in recovery. The Oregon Bop has a mandate though. Anyone who comes from CA with an unclear license, must enter into at least 5 years of probation because CA refuses to send records of programs or rehab or urines or anything to confirm what is stated by the licensee. I finished 3 years of probation there, but, I came back to finish in California because Oregon will count my time on probation here, where California doesn't give me any credit for Oregon. I was urine tested, filled out monthly reports, had a contract...ect. And I was in perfect compliance in Oregon. To no avail in California. Now I can't go to any state until I finish my probation in at least one state. I also came back to California because I was born and raised here and all my family is here. I couldn't wait to get back. Maybe it's not worth it all. The fees in Oregon to participate were $233.00/month and that was for the urines. Here I pay about $900.00/month. I guess it's an oxymoron on where I should be. But, I want my license here (CA) cleared!! > > It would seem that other states are more reasoned when it comes to etg. > My state conforms to the SAMSHA advisory and I was allowed to graduate > despite 4 positives. Guest guest
Hi Merrill, California living can be incredibly expensive. As for state health programs, of course there is Medi-Calhttp://www.medi-cal.org/ and State Disability (limited time) http://www.edd.ca.gov/direp/diind.htm and the Genetically Handicapped Persons Program http://www.dhcs.ca.gov/services/ghpp/Pages/default.aspx there are also MDA clinics here. Guest guest
Yes it is very expensive here in LA. Not all of CA is like this but here it is. I believe LA is the 2nd most expensive city to live in the country right now. I know my wife and I struggle on a $60k a year income. Guest guest
Ron, 60K is a struggle for two? Wow. I live on less than $20K for two. LA must be very expensive! Dawn
Guest guest
It is, for example we live in a one bedroom condo. The last one in our building sold at $215,000. In other parts of the country I could buy a 4 bed/3 bath house for the same price.
