Thank you, , for your wonderful expressions of reflection and gratitude.

I connected with so many things you said. I too feel a tremendous sense of

appreciation for Gretchen and all of the participants in this forum. It is easy

to take something like this for granted, not realizing the impact it may be

having on us individually. Your post made me stop and take note in my own life.

I agree, knowledge is power. It provides comfort, takes away fear, and allows

us to be more in control of our circumstances. For me, connecting with others

and observing how they are able to cope with circumstances more difficult than

my own has provided comfort and taken away fear of the unknown. For example, I

was very fearful of becoming wheelchair bound, but learning about how others are

joyfully living in these circumstances, and hearing the details of exactly how

they are doing it, took away the mystery and gave me confidence that I too would

be able to manage, should I join their ranks in the future. Also, reading

routinely about all the new studies and research being done, gives me hope. We

can see that the end is in sight and in the meantime, the burden of the journey

is significantly lighter because of the knowledge provided through this medium

and the invaluable support of the individuals in this community.

Does it really make a difference? For me, the answer is a resounding 'yes'.

This knowledge and support received has relieved an emotional burden, an

underlying sadness, I was feeling. My 'filter of fear' has been lifted,

allowing me to once again live in the moment and enjoy the world around me.

So, Happy Easter & thanks to all, and a special 'thank you' to Gretchen for all

of the hard work you put into this site. Your work does makes a difference.
