Guest guest
, Did you try the ankle supports called x-strap? I found them in the Quest magazine and talked on the phone to the creator himself and I was inspired to try them. He had weak ankles when younger then, he said knew someone with a foot drop due to MS, which is similar to what we have yet that affects the brain whereas CMT is just a demylination of the peripheral nerves (in the lower legs, feet and hands mainly). Anyway, these ankle straps go around the ankle then the shoelaces attach to your shoes and have velcro on them you cross them and set your foot on a wall for dorsiflexion (to prevent the foot drop). Then you wrap the velcro straps around your ankle and you have a perfect (near-perfect) foot; without the drop. OK, so, if you are interested in learning more about them, let me know.I get emails from the seller and I will forward one to you. He's a really nice guy from NYC and I may be partial to him because I'm from NYS, although Buffalo and not the city. Now I live in NC. ought Thought it would be better because the cold was getting to me but I am still adjusting. It is very different here. I do think my son may benefit a little because he gets to see his cousins on his dad's side and they're closer to his age than my sister's kids. But I don't know. It's been a difficult time adjusting. Well, let me know if you want me to forward the email to you re: the ankle strap. Take care.
