Guest guest
Hi, ! That burning sensation is probably due to nerve damage in his feet. This can be a symptom of heavy metal poisoning. I am not sure what can be done about this symptom, but perhaps a homeopath might have a treatment that would help. [ ] Burning Feet Hello, My son has been complaining about his feet. He says they burn. Does anyone know why this would happen???? I have looked at his feet for signs of fungus.......nothing. He does not scratch them . They look good to me but he tells me everyday his feet burn. Any ideas? .

Hello my name is Caleb and I'm from Melbourne in Australia. I've suffered ill helath on and off for eight years and slowly but surely I'm solving the puzzle. I suffer from CFS and Fibromyalgia and one of my most severe symtoms is pain and buring in my feet, I get it in my hands too. According to Andy Cutler it is very consistent with Mercury and Copper toxicity. I'm not sure how old your son is but the hair analysis woulsd prob explain a lot. I'm probably not quite the response you were looking for but maybe send a direct email to Andy and explain the situation and see how you go. Good luck. Guest guest
diabetics get this from nerve damage. i have been told it is irreversable, but have not had burning feet since being gf/cg free so i am keeping an open mind on that. geraldine " andrewhallcutler " <AndyCutler@...> wrote: >Vitamin C, vitamin E and flax seed oil may help this. > >> My son has been complaining about his feet. >> He says they burn. >> Does anyone know why this would happen???? >> I have looked at his feet for signs of fungus.......nothing. >> He does not scratch them . >> They look good to me but he tells me everyday his feet burn. >> >> Any ideas? >> . > > > >======================================================= >
Guest guest
Hormonal problems can cause burning/ultra-hot feet and hands. I got that really bad when I was pregnant and again recently when I stopped taking my progesterone and my hormones went fluey again. Not that I'm recommending you give your son progesterone but perhaps he's having a problem with imbalanced hormones due to metals tox. Does he wear the same shoes all the time or does he rotate them? If he's wearing the same shoes all the time they don't have time to 'dry out' between daily wearings. If that's the case it's possible for him to have a low grade, mild, athlete's foot without any outward signs of it. Try rotating shoes and using baby powder to help keep his feet dry. This is especially true if the shoes are not real leather. Synthetics don't breathe like leather does. Don't be fooled, all tennis shoes no matter how expensive are not always 'real' leather!! He might also be reacting to the glue in them. Sometimes when a persons prespiration mixes with the glues used in the shoes it can cause itching, burning of the feet. Ditto on this with regards to synthetic versus leather. One other thing is that his shoes may not be wide enough for his feet. You might want to check and see if it's time to get him a larger size. Guest guest
There is a very large clinical trial going on right now for alpha lipoic acid in the treatment of polyneuropathy in diabetes. I'm not sure if neuropathy in the feet gives you a burning sensation since I don't know any diabetics. Have yu tried ALA to see if the burning goes away? gprobertson@... wrote: > diabetics get this from nerve damage. i have been told it is irreversable, but have not had burning feet since being gf/cg free so i am keeping an open mind on that. > geraldine > > " andrewhallcutler " <AndyCutler@...> wrote: > > >Vitamin C, vitamin E and flax seed oil may help this. > >> > >> Any ideas? > >> . > >
Guest guest
I had forgotten about this until I read your post. My son used to complain about burning feet. He also would be quite hysterical if he had to wear shoes b/c they always made his feet burn, too. Somewhere along the line (2 yrs of gfcf, supplements, chelation), this ended along with other sensory complaints. > > > Hello, > > My son has been complaining about his feet. > He says they burn. > Does anyone know why this would happen???? Guest guest
My son has these too. We refer to them as " foot spells " , since he is non-verbal. They seem to happen just before it rains. (I know?!) But then when I read what Sallie Bernard posted about Acrodynia, I thought that that explained it as part of the mercury poisoning. What do you think? Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am at my wits end with this burning pain in my feet. I am not getting any relief from anything I try. Would Vit. C and Co-enzyme Q 10 help me? If so, how much would I take and when would one know it is working? Thanks, Ann from Central NY

Guest guest
When I started taking vitamin E I noticed an improvement in the nerve pain in my feet. I noted a similar cause/effect when I started taking CoQ10 (150-200mg 2x daily). I also take 30mg Cymbalta, with the added benefit of mood stabilization. Makes driving southern California freeways much more pleasant. I've also found that low impact water exercises, like kicking, really help keep the pain down. And when all else fails, elevate them for a while. O
Guest guest
Neurontin or Lyrica helps with burning feet. I noticed relief with Neurontin within a couple of hours after taking the first dose. Also, reducing the amount of time spent standing. Guest guest
You're welcome, . I forgot to mention that medications can sometimes cause various forms of neuropathy. Guest guest
Actually I have been thinking about that too. I believe the Arava can cause neuropathy which is what I am taking. Funny thing is that I think I had this symptom when I started the med at 10mg. Then when I went up to 20 mg this symptom dissapeared. However, 1 1/2 months ago they lowered me back down to the 10mg because my WBC were too low. So hopefully once I raise it back up or stop it completely this will go away. I don't know it is all just so weird but then again what makes any sense with these dang AI's. > > Thanks . Guest guest
, The top of my feet sometimes burn.... It feels almost as if fire ants are biting the tops of my feet... My doctor said that this feeling can sometimes happen due to reactions to certain meds. While my doc is still trying to find a way to get down the inflamation in my hands and feet he continues to try new meds... As they don't work, that particular med stops... This goes on probably every three months (the changing of the meds, not the burning)... So, I believe that certain meds cause the burning sensation... Good luck, let us know what you can find out... Guest guest
Thanks for you input Bonnie. I should have been more specific. My burning is on the bottoms of my feet. Guess I never thought that it could happen on the tops of the feet too. LOL > > > > Anyone else that is not diabetic get where the bottom of your feet feel like they are burning? Guest guest
Hi , I have the same thing. I've been known to take my " hot feet " and stick them right into the snow. I also was checked for Diabetes and it's a no as well for me. I saw an ortho Dr. to rule out that stuff and he taped one foot up for 3 days, but that didn't make a difference. My Rheumy never mentioned anything about it either. I have no idea if it's fibro related or what. I sleep with my feet sticking out of the sheets. If they are hot, I can't sleep. Hot feet wake me up. If they burn during the day the shoes come off. I can even get cranky from hot feet! I'll soak them in cool water with a lavender soak I found. That helps. But my favorite find of all is so simple and cheap. A foot spray from Walmart. Their brand. Whenever they get hot, a squirt on each foot of the nice cold spray, I'm happy!!!! Good Luck , let us know what your rheumy says. Heidi in Mass.
