Guest guest Posted March 12, 2012 Report Share Posted March 12, 2012 Friday evening for dinner, rather later than my normal dinnertime, I had radish greens from my windowsill along with alfalfa and broccoli sprouts and mung bean sprouts, with my own homemade wine vinegar and olive oil. That, along with fresh wild mushroom and onion stirfry. A light supper, right? Ok, well that 'light supper' gave me so much energy, I was up at 4 am!! I went to bed around 11 or so and jumped out of bed with more energy than I've had in weeks. And the only thing different was the sprouts. I have to get a minimum of about 80 grams of protein a day, and my iron/hemoglobin has been too low to 'spin' when giving blood. I think I've found my new protein/iron source. That, and kale chips.
