Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my experiences with having Charcot Marie Tooth. I'm now 33 and I was diagnosed with Charcot when I was 16 years old. My doctor says that this is a progressive disease and I believe him based on my experiences. For now, I'm having difficulty climbing up the stairs (I have to have something to hold on to) and I feel that my leg muscles are starting to weaken. My right toes are also starting to claw that's why I'm having a hard time looking for shoes that are comfortable. I can't walk longer than before. I have to stop and sit for a while to catch my breath. I can also no longer carry heavy stuff because I can't balance and afraid that I might fall. I can also feel something differently with my hands. To sum things up, I can no longer do the things that I was doing before and I know that this will get worse... but I'm stil hopeful since I would like to travel more and meet other people. For now, I just do what I can do and try to live my life to the fullest. Thanks and God Bless!!! Mylah
