Guest guest
Elinor: Get rid of the computer mouse and go to a touchpad. The touchpad is always in the same place and it never runs off the desk or bump into the keyboard. No mousepad needed, and almost no pressure on the finger you choose to use. I have a very heavy touch and when I first used the touchpad I made gross changes in my directories by accident. I turned off the tap feature and now use my thumb to click when and where I need it. A trackball is also useful, but the ball and get dirty. After all a trackball is just a mouse that died -- and all mice should. --Larry
Guest guest
Actually my husband has a trackball. It was originally a mouse. That's on the deck top. On the laptop I use the touchpad, of course, but with my right hand. Whenever I use the trackball or go one someone else's computer with a mouse, I use the left hand, freeing up my right for the keyboard or to write. After lots of practice I wired my brain that way.
