Guest guest
Hi, I have a question regarding classification of 1A or B. Keep in mind we found out a year ago that my son has CMT and I'm still learning. When my son was diagnosed, Athena said he had a new, never seen before, mutation on the MPZ gene and because of that he was classified as 1B as that was the " closest' classification to the mutation. I noticed in a recent post from Donna that she mentioned that she has CMT 1A and that it relates to myelin. Can someone explain to me in more " layman's " details the difference between 1A and 1B since they both deal with the myelin. Thanks!
