Guest guest
Gretchen - Thank you for the lovely and inspiring comments. As an individual who has lived with CMT for over 40 years, and both children living with CMT, I admit it is easy to become frustrated, helpless and at times feeling sorry for yourself. Today I found out that my daughter (who will be 17 in April and just wants to wear " pretty shoes " to the prom) has serious spinal issues, probably related to CMT. After the crying (and yes, there are a lot of tears), I remind Bethany that CMT doesn't define who she is or what she will become - only she can determine that. She has, like all individuals, been given unique gifts. Her success in life will be determined by her willingness to share those gifts with others. Let's continue to inspire, encourage and appreciate each member of the family - and remember - there is a whole lot of living to do!!!
