Tightness under rib cage/gut area

Do any of you have tightness in your torso area? Mine is under both sides of my

rib cage and it feels almost like a stretching/pinching feeling. It doesn't

really hurt, but doesn't feel good either. It is worse when I am under stress.

I had a spinal cord tumor on my T9, and after my surgery, I began to have this

feeling under my right ribcage at the very same level as where the tumor was.

They dismissed my issues and said that it was probably " referred pain " . This has

now spread throughout my torso area,

so I am a bit concerned.

Hi Amy,

My son has CMT 1A he is 15 years old. He has complained of tightness in his

chest for the past year. He complains of not being able to breathe. He can not

take a full breath. It has gotten worse it started out only bothering him a few

times a month, then a week and now it is pretty much all the time. The doctors

aren't sure if it is related but I am sure it is. His muscles are very tight so

he can't take a deep breath the CO2 builds up. He almost constantly yawns as

well.
