Hello All,

Kim from land, I haven't posted for awhile as my dad was ill and

very recently passed away. I am writing to see if there is anyone from

land inthe group. I would really like the opportunity to meet

someone in the state who also has CMT. I am in the Bel-Air area of

land, and am also close to Pennsylvania and Delaware. Please feel

free to e-mail me.

I waer bilateral afos just below the knee. I am finding more often

that my thighs/quads feel very weak and for lack of better terms -

" jiggly " my knees also feel as if they almost buckle, is this common

for anyone else?

TakeCare,

Kim

Kim,

So sorry about your Dad; I know what you are going through. I just moved from

land; was in Owings Mills for last 45 years! It sounds like we have the same

issues. My quads are extremely weak, almost non existent. Still in bilateral

AFOs below the knee and am wondering if I should have gotten ones above the

knee, but didn't want to overbrace. My knees hyperextend a lot and if I don't do

that they will absolutely buckle. Common for those of us whose quads start to

atrophy. If it wasn't for the quads, I could deal with the foot drop!
