Guest guest
Where should my husband go in Ohio? He has braces but is experiencing pain daily. Where could he get a good general workup for other problems (back, shoulder, hand pain)secondary to CMT?
Guest guest
Where in Ohio? (near a University or what area/city?)
Guest guest
We're in NE Ohio but could travel--New York, Pennsylvania, etc. How does one pay for this kind of treatment?
Guest guest
See below. As for payments, ask what payment expectation is when you call to book an appointment (private insurance, Medicare, monthly payments, Visa/Mastercard acceptance, low-income assistance, cash discounts, or other payment plans). You can also go to your nearest MDA clinic. To find that, go to http://www.mdausa.org and at the bottom left of the page where it says " MDA in your community " type your zip code in the search box. Phone the clinic and inquire about your needs. There is also the Cleveland Clinic at http://www.clevelandclinic.org/ C Chelimsky, MD Neurology University Hospitals of Cleveland 216-844-3495 W Devereaux, MD, FAAN Neurology University Hospitals of Cleveland 216-844-3591 Bashar Katirji, MD, FAAN Neurology University Hospitals of Cleveland 216-844-4854
Guest guest
Dr. Katirji, the third doctor on the list, is my neurologist and I highly recommend him. He has a national and international reputation and in my opinion is highly qualified. Carl Kent, OH
Guest guest
I called the Cleveland Clinic this week; the first person they had us talk to (phone) was a financial counselor. That tells me it's terrifically expensive--I don't think the clinic nurse will call until we make the required $250 down payment. There was no mention of any financial break. Also called a podiatrist and got a figure of $180--$210 just for the exam, no treatment. Because he's working honestly my husband has no SSI, no Medicaid and at this time no insurance.
