Guest guest
My husband, age 46, is working parttime to fulltime regularly and is often in pain from his CMT condition. SSI will not cover him now because he's working (and married and I have some assets). This diagnosis is permanent yet rather than continue to provide him with a small monthly income and medical coverage--allowing him a measure of independence he's being treated punitively (at least in my mind). You find work to supplement your SSI income and then because of that job you lose your SSI and medical benefits. What can be done? What have others done? If he were single he could not live on the SSI alone.
