Guest guest
Tammy, Hi, I'm new to this group too. I just wanted to say welcome! I am half way through Mandys' workbook. I love it, it is really enjoyable. I find that I have to give my nose a rest and if I smell too many oils I get a bit of a headache. It's amazing the way, if you allow it, your sense of smell brings you back to places and times and people once forgotten. I'm sure I will love it too. I can get headaches too if I'm not careful. Best wishes on your perfume endeavors. Tammy
Guest guest
Hi Tammy welcome to the group. how many levels have you had fused so far? I've never heard of a tear in a disc exactly, can you tell me what that means? Why are you more scared of this surgery? Is it the actual surgery that is scaring you or being in the hospital period or is it the recovery time that bothers you? I think if you figure out what is scaring you it will help you not be so afraid of it. My second surgery I was more scared than the first and third. I had been thru it all before< the surgery, the waking up from it in so much pain, the coming home and then the long recovery time that is so much fun. I think the reason I was more scared was since the first one didn't work at all I was scared another one wouldn't help either. I was afraid to put too much hope into it and be so let down again, as I had the first time. Maybe that is what is bothering you, I don't know. But if you feel you have a good dr and that what he is going to do is in your best interest, that you truly need this surgery or else you will be in too much pain, than I say " go for it " God took care of you the other times you were in surgery I am sure he will again, why not let him do the worrying for you and you just think about getting well. Hope some of this helps. Again welcome to the group. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, I was on Lyrica for a couple years and it did work well, but by the end of that time I had gained 20 pounds, had ankle swelling and muscle pains(all are side effects). I'm now back on Neurontin. I've slowly lost 12 0f the pounds and I wish the rest would hurry up. I don't want to discourage you but just be aware. Welcome to the group.
