Guest guest
Hello Geoff; Welcome to the group. Just keep on those drums. Keeping as active as prossible helps. I learned about this disorder when I was 8yrs old so I've had a long time to deal with it. I'm 51 and I still try to use my tredmill and bowflex. I walk with a walker now but before that I used a cane for the balance for many years.I also use leg braces to stop falling on my face LOL. Keeping a possitive attitude sure helps. Welcome to the group. Debra from Canada
Guest guest
Geoff, welcome to the group I am sure will find lots of good information and support. I am 38 with CMT 1A and find of course it gets harder as time goes on. I bet the the drumming helps a lot. I have recently decided to take care of myself self better which includes excercise and I find the strength. Keep playing, every little bit helps. I have thought many times I would love to learn to play the drums, not sure if my wife could handle that on top of 3 kids yelling and screaming all day :-). Enjoy your weekend. Guest guest
Geoff, Hi! Nice to " meet " you. I understand. Others have it but in my 38 years, I've only met 2 people with CMT. I just recently moved to NC from Buffalo, NY and am now meeting even fewer people because I'm involved with less. This is a really good outlet and place to share about CMT.
