Guest guest
Welcome in Toledo, Ohio! Sorry to hear that life has been so hard on . My daughter, Ziv, now 11.5, has been on zoloft and trazadone for 2 years. For the most part, she was prescribed 200mg zoloft and 50mg trazadone (to help fall asleep). Since her ocd symptoms are subclinical, her anxiety is managable, and she doesnt appear depressed, we have her on 50mg zoloft and 25mg trazadone!! I hope that with your full house you are able to take some time for yourself. My 3 kids and hubby all have ocd, depression, etc... and being " on " all the time can be very draining!! take care, wendy in canada _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
- Thanks for your message. Clay (my husband) has suffered from depression for years (technically dysthymic disorder) and finally got on medication about a year and a half ago. His mother has suffered from clinic depression for at least as long as we've been together and is now bedridden because of it. I've struggled with postpartum depression and I know what you mean about being " on " all the time. With five kids, a business to run, homeschooling to do and the day-to-day battles with Zack's OCD and 's medical problems, there are days when I want to just move away and not tell anyone!! Not really, but it's a thought. Zack needs the trazodone to help him sleep, too. Before he was diagnosed, he would be up prowling the halls all night long, of course totally unable to articulate why. So we all get more sleep when he does. Glad to be part of the list, and I look forward to sharing even more in everyone's stories. I have been reading your post's and thought I better give you some insight on me.I have many health problem's, don't know if you want me to list them all, but I will start off with the one I am working on at the moment.I have had this since 1994,but was miss diagnosed.I actually have Degnerative Disc Disease with mild Stenosis plus nerve compression causing chronic 24/7 pain in my left arm, neck and now moving into my right shoulder.Tomorrow I go for my 4th Epidural steroid inj.I hate them, can't wait to see when they give it up because it has not worked at all for me.I have also just been diagnosed with Macular Degeneration in both eyes with numerous Drusen. The Dr said in 5 years I may not be able to read or drive!! I am only 45,not old or bedridden!!But my oldest sister has it too and she is in her 50's.Our Dad's Mother had it so they think that is where it came from.I do have "undifferentiated connective tissue disease with symptom's in the Lupus Family" because I have had a history(since 1994) of elevated ANA's (up to 2560),now they remain in the 300's and 640 range but never go away.I have had Depression with Suicidal Tendencie's since 1970.Panic Attack's started in 1984.Bone Spur's,Arthritis,Raynaud's,Hypoglycemic,Hearing Loss (L)ear.Believe it or not,I still have a few more to list, but I won't.I am on Pain med's,Plaquenil,Naprosyn,Neurontin,Lexapro,Ocuvite,Calcium w/vit.D,Restoril,Restasis eye drops.I am a Nurse but do not work anymore because of the pain. And now my med's keep me somewhat sedated.I have joined quite a few online Message Boards now to see what other's are saying about their illnesses and to have a place to vent as well as learn.I apologize for not posting earlier, but I have not felt like being online much lately, the Depression has been hard at work.I am trying to fight it but think I will have to talk to my PCP soon.Hope I have not sounded too negative.Thankyou for allowing me to join your group and I hope to get to know most of you soon.
