I was talking to my doctor on Monday about having more feeling in my

foot post surgery -- I can really feel the grout lines in the tile

floor -- ...he said there should not be a difference but he has heard

enough from people that the feeling in their feet post surgery in

better than it was before that he is starting to believe there is

something to it. I have also noticed my left foot (surgery foot

12/18/2007) does not get as cold as fast as the right. Has anyone

else had this experience post surgery?

Also here is an update on my surgery and progress. I have been in an

AFO for 6 weeks waiting for the tendon transfer to mature. I have

also been going to physical therapy which I have to say I have

liked. Anyway my doctor seems very happy with the out come of the

surgery. My foot looks a lot different. I wish I had a before

picture I would post before and after ....but I don't but I will

still post after. Next step is the big one for me orthotics and

walking with out the AFO. I am anxious to see just how different my

walk is. My husband has told me I do not waddle anymore but I still

have the AFO on so I am anxious to see what happens out of the AFO.

I am doing band strengthening and will continue and hopefully that

will keep the muscles strong.

Anyway I am anxious to hear if anyone has experience the same effect

post surgery...thanks.

Vicky
