Neurologists in South Florida?

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to all the new members. I am also new and have found this

forum friendly and helpful.

My concern right now is finding a neurologist. I have not found one

since moving to Naples, FL. My family doctor is great but she does

not know a great deal about CMT and typically, I have had to educate

her. She pretty much does what I ask because she knows that I do my

homework before asking.

So, how to I find a neurologist short of calling offices and asking

if they are familiar with, and deal with, CMT patients? Can any of

you recommend someone? I am willing to go nearly anywhere in Florida

to find someone good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Beyond that my biggest issues right now are balance and fatigue. I

have considerable muscle atrophy in my legs. I am using a cane for

balance and that helps a lot. I do get tired easily though and that

holds me back, especially shopping or sight seeing.

I do know from reading your posts that many of your are dealing with

far more than I am. Thank you for sharing. It's really nice to be

in contact with so many who share and understand my concerns.
