Guest guest
Hi, well I'm full of cold - again :-( this one seems to have a nasty sore throat with it, however I did manage to get out last night to go to a talk Donna was doing in Leeds (UK). The talk was titled 'Clashing " Normalities " '. I very much enjoyed the talk - I've been to one of her talks before years ago in Sheffield. This time I am involved with the group that organised this talk and I had volunteered to do the book stall, as long as someone else was with me. Well I was hoping that by doing the book stall that there would be some sort of construction between me and others - however the cabinet we used was up agaisnt the wall and I sat on a chair at the side. Before the talk started I was fine, but afterwards Donna said she'd be signing books, I'd gone back to stall, but suddenly it got swamped with people, so I abandoned stall, fortunately there was someone else doing the stall. I did however get a book I'd bought last night signed :-) Bought 'Autism - An inside - out approach'. I not long ago finished reading 'Exposure Anxiety' by Donna , wasn't overly keen on such, as to me seemed to re-iterate a lot in places, but I did enjoy her first 3 books.
