Guest guest
Jackie, Did you know that the Toe off come with directions for use? Toe walking on steps and squatting are cautioned against and have specific use instructions. Amazing.... wow.. When i got my AFOss no directions were given to me -It also says to record serial number before putting the tape for the padding and to wash the padding 2x a week- I have worn mine for 7 weeks without washing them- I guess it is time. I have enclosed the links for care of toe off. In addition, Toe Off AFOs are not meant for use by serve ankle weakness. Moderate is the specification. I have also included the link for the 3 different products and the type of product each is meant to help. Not to mention there are other AFOs out there and all will have slightly different specifications. Patient and Orthosis Eduction must be high and current to get correct product and result. I had the toe-offs and at first i loved them and thought what a difference they made. Then they snapped because i put a lot of pressure on my right foot to go up and down steps. They are good if you have foot drop, but i have muscle weakness on all 4 sides of my ankle and it only addressed one side of the ankle. I am still in search of the perfect AFO and i probably need to look at a KAFO as my quads are so weak. > > jackie >
