Hi Jen!

I recognize your little guys name. ;) I'm , Maxwell's mom. He was

born April 5, 2000. Good to have you here. I ahve gotten SO MUCH great

information here! I also discovered that by simply asking

" Vaccinations: Yes or NO? " in my birth club board, I created quite a

hot topic. Some of the moms wanted me to post my info right there, so I

did. All obtained form the nice folks on this list. We'll see tomorrow

what happens with it... Check it out if you get the chance. It's pretty

hot right now, but I can easily see it getting hotter.

~ :)

Hello everyone,

I was introduced to this weblist/group by posting at a popular

baby site -

mainly posting my concerns about my 9 month old son - .

Our family is more or less health conscious, on my side - on my

husband's

side - you take any pills you need, get whatever shots you 'need'

etc., so

not only am I working against the popular theory of 'all vaccinations

are

good', but I am working against Mitch's grandma - but long story

short I am

scared to death that my wonderful child is going to be afflicted

with

autistic-type problems.

A number of potential conflicts have come to light, which may indicate

that

should not have his shots - the most obvious one being

that he

developed a eczema type rash after his 2 month old shots - not

real eczema -

but some inflammation that gradually left/subsided, until he received

his 4

month old shots - which it promptly flared up again (having pictures

taken

was a real trial) - he did not receive his 6 month old shots as

he was

teething and had a lowered immune system - congested and runny

nose - and

I've never taken him in since. I have a general distrust of my

government -

especially now with mad cow disease being tossed about and the

assertations

that 'we' (being Canada - I'm from Ontario) would never have imported

infected beasts nor do we feed animal protein food to other species

- ya

sure ya don't!

Anyway I'm here to learn all I can - I have logged onto a Canadian

vaccination site which rebutts some of the common reasons people

choose not

to vaccinate - if anyone is interested I can post the link.

Thanks for letting me in on the wealth of information available,

Hi ,

I am hypo thyroid and learned about this group from the Thyroid

Group as well. This group has a wonderful FILES section. It's amazing

how many issues are related to iodine deficiency. I hope you find the

answers you seek.

All the best and welcome!

be 53 year old female. My name is (or ) . I am

hypo thyroid, have Fibromyalgia, IBS, Asthma, Medullary Sponge

Kidney, severe allergies and multiple chemical sensitivity. I found

the thyroid group a few days ago and what I have found there

has given me hope for the first time in many years. From there I was

also referred to this group. I had a doc that refused to prescribe

Armour because he said it was " impure " so I have fired him and now

that I have the PPO at work can get my old doc back (read One Who

Actually Listens) and am setting up an appointment with him on

Monday - just got my ins. card! I have a slew of things to back up my

request for Armour and adrenal support, and am hoping to have back at

least part of my life - Fibromalgia has taken the other part, lol. I

follow the messages here with great interest, although I may lurk a

lot as I belong to wayyyyyyy to many

Hello everyone I am Heidy. I live in N.C. and receintly found out that

my 8 y.o. grandson suffers from CMT. He has recently had 2 rounds of

surgery on his R. foot/ankle and is due to have surger on the L. foot.

I am very confused as what I have read does not add up to what his

mother is telling me. Where can I find good info on CMT?

Thanks,

Heidy

Welcome Becky! Great to hear that another non-vaxer has joined our group. Lots of great knowledge and great people. I am thankful to have found such a great support system. I am like you and do not have a support system nearby--also just waiting to hear through the grapevine of a good naturopath close by because here they work "underground".-K.Hancock, M.H. in trainingMother of 1 (8mo)Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®From: "B." <cartoon_green@...>Date: Mon, 07 Jun 2010 00:36:08 -0000<Vaccinations >Subject: Introduction of new member Hello!!I'm Becky, live in Virginia, for now... long story... anyway, I've got a 3 1/2 yr old highly sensitive child that I've chosen not to vax. I'm trying to find a decent dr to take her to... so far we only go when she's sick, which thank God isn't that often so far. I have ZERO support system here, moved here to be near family, and they've totally turned against me, caused me to wish I were back when I was before. Oops, digressing... anyway, I'm here for good ideas, good discussions, good friends maybe? I chose not to vax after reading about it. I'm a BIG proponent of avoiding aluminum at all costs in the human body. I believe it contributed to the death of my mother, who died at age 64 of early onset Alzheimer's Disease, and I'm told I have a 50% chance of getting it now since she had it. So we all avoid aluminum, whether it be in baking powder, high fructose corn syrup, vax's. That's how I got started, then more and more investigation led to feeling sick about doing any of it. My MAJOR issue right now is getting my child to use the potty... LOL, but I would like some support on my decision not to vax. I don't want to be afraid to take her places for fear she'll catch a life-threatening disease, although I'm sure any of us could do that at any time... Enough ranting, nice to meet yall!Becky
