I am having ankle fusion at the end of August. When speaking with the

doctor, he said, " Aren't you going to ask about ankle joint replacement? "

I said, " No. I don't have the muscles to support it. "

He said, " You are right. Everyone asks about it, though. "

With ankle fusion and more in my immediate future, I asked about

replacement. Dr. Said " I doubt you would find anyone in the US who

would do one one you " . He also said he doubted it would be successful

because of the continuing deformity and lack of muscle.

I don't see that this new replacement would matter.
