Guest guest
I am honestly scared to death. Next Friday, the 18th of July, I have to have EMG and NCV performed at UT Southwest in Dallas. The reason is because of the pains I have been getting in my arms. It is throbbing pain compareable to the throbbing pain of a large cut or contusion. Does anyone experience this? What do you do? I want to ask the doctor for Percocet and Elavil, but am scared to because of the negative publicity of Oxycodone. Anti-Convulsants make me twitch and gain massive weight. Lyrica is the norm these days and I HATE IT. Gaining weight for me only makes things WORST. I was on Methadone for a few weeks and that stuff doesn't work a bit. Percocet does and I am afraid to ask for it. What do I do?
Guest guest
, You might ask your doctor about Ultram and Wellbrutin. Don't be afraid to talk about the intensity of your pain with your doctor. If you can establish the intensity on a 1 to 10 scale, with 10 being the worst pain ever, this may help your doctor understand your needs. I have not had throbbing pain in my arms, only 'electric' type sparks in the left. A year of Neurontin took that away. You may want to get a referral to a Pain Management Clinic, or research alternative therapies. Gretchen Gretchen
