Guest guest
and Adam.... I remember holding on to the TV and Oral preaching " if you have faith you will be healed " I cried because nothing happened!! I was a child then and the words stuck in my mind... " Not Good Enough " ..Not just with that preacher but with many other people that thought my disability was a curse. Even being married to a abusive husband a " good neighbor " said " you should feel lucky that he wants to be with you " . Not all people that profess to be Christans are.........be careful! Look up things and get the right interpretation. Guess we need pray for people that we think are a " good neighbors " as well as some Preaches.. Adam might be good for them...perhaps he can teach them a few things lol.......I hope so!!! Just don't let him get swallowed up in their craziness. Guest guest
I think you need to talk to her and say you'll get your religious beliefs from your church and not from her. I think she has gone way overboard and what will happen when your son stays with CMT his whole life now, will he not feel like he's worthy. What a way to bring an ego down. Guest guest
, I love that Adam said " why should he be healed when it is something he can live with and that there are other people dying that should be healed. What a smart boy that is not sitting around feeling sorry for himself. He obviously has no self esteem issues that are so common with CMT. There is enough " stuff " we have to deal with in our head regarding our CMT issues without some wackjob trying to tell us why we have it. We just do, end of story. As we all hope that someday there will be a cure we just have to deal with the " inconvienence " of CMT until then. It still bothers me that some people feel we should not reproduce. Both of my children have CMT and are good, productive adults and in no way should have never been born. It sounds like he can handle this family and if they they get to be too much for him he can always tell them that he does not force his beliefs on them so they should not force theirs on him. Guest guest
Hi Cyndi, I always have this in the back of my mind. Sometimes I think the people at the school are looking at me like a mutant. One resource teacher aid told her daughter that I did drugs when I was pregnant and messed up my kids. Spencer over heard it. I was really offended and hurt. I never did say anything to her or the school. I just didn't want to deal with her at the time. Later I found out the same aid bought her under age daughters alcohol on a regular basis. Spencer said she's the one that is messed up. Cept he used the F-word. LOL
Guest guest
Hi Geri, So far so good. He is irritated that they would want him to try and prove that he has enough faith in God. I see his point. Guest guest
Hi Ron, Yesterday the teenage son was telling Adam he could be healed, like his step father was. Adam seemed a little mad and told him too many faithful people are suffering and not everyone was going to be healed regardless of faith. He also said if anyone was going to be healed it would be his mother. I thought that was sweet of him. The one thing he is right on about is me praying a whole lot in the beginning that the kids especially Adam would be healed. Grief really brings you to your knees.
