Guest guest
I wonder how many late onset people there are. My husband was about 60 with no family history. At 78 he is significantly disabled. His oldest son, age 51, has the feet but no other symptoms. UCLA MDA said Jim had type 2 but his current Santa Barbara neurologist says type 1. The patients in this article, if you read the whole thing, had some type 1 symptoms in addition to the type 2 diagnosis. It would be nice if they could find the gene. Jim's Athena tests was negative. I emailed the Florida place looking for negative gene tests, and they emailed back asking for our phone number, but they never called. Does anyone still have their email or phone number?
