Guest guest
Haha, that's funny. My husband looked at the book and also said that you can't look like the pictures after 12 weeks. He said it takes 2 years to get results like that. He's a skeptic by nature and thinks it's all a scam to get you to buy EAS products. I'm on day 5 and enjoying it so far. At least my husband happily eats whatever I make. -Shaun 's Progress, " Professionals " and Are My Numbers Correct? I did explain in there that dh was told that the " Professional " that do the befores and afters are " real " bodybuilders who gain weight just so they can lose it while taking pictures to show change. Because their body just doesn't have a problem losing the wt, they are at an advantage, he says. I know there is one guy, can't remember where I've seen him, online somewhere, I think, where they do show him over time, about every two weeks, and you can see the change, and they do say that's how that particular shot was done. But I resent him implying that *all* of the befores and afters are done this way! Lynda, , SeattleLady, are all of you just " plants " to make us " think " it can work???? What would be the point?????????
Guest guest
What is the matter with everybody??!!! These peopel are NOT professional weight losers - they are professional weight GAINERS. Have you ONCE been able to read the date on the newspaper they are holding? I mean, take a picture of an in-shape person. Then have them gain weight and live on ben and jerry's. Stick a newspaper in their hand, pay them 1000 bucks, and take their photo! That's what BFL is about! OK - did ANY of you sense my sarcasm here? :-) Jill > Haha, that's funny. Guest guest
I've been reading the " crazy neighbor " posts and shaking my head. Why do people feel it's their business to insert their opinions into other's lives? Be helpful or be gone. I'm going through something similar. My ex-husband never believed me when I injured myself or even when I had morning sickness when I was pregnant with our children. He always thought that every physical problem I had was a deliberate attempt to get attention and sympathy and was completely made up. Once when I broke my foot the ER erroneously read the xray as negative. He was crowing and happy to finally have proof that I was faking it for attention. The next day they called me at home to tell me the radiologist looked at it and did see a fracture. He was appoplectic and furious at me for ruining his day. For these and a few other reasons, he's my ex. Now my children are showing very mild symptoms and having injuries that are kind of vague and from doing things that shouldn't injure them. I've informed him of my CMT diagnosis and told him they likely have it too, given their symptoms and physical makeup. He rolls his eyes and scoffs. When I picked up the kids this week my daughter was in a wrist brace. She said she isn't sure what happened but it hurts and is unstable. My son grabbed my hand and his step-mom's hand and said, " Mom, explain to her about the CMT thing " . She turned beet red and said, " I never said your mom didn't have it, I just said that just because she has it doesn't mean you do. " I asked, after we were in the car, what that was about. They said both their dad and his wife have been telling them that they shouldn't fall into the same hypochondriac behaviors that their mother does. They don't believe me and they don't think there is anything wrong with any of us. It's all for sympathy and they want them to quit telling them they are numb, or have twisted or hurt something. I just enrolled myself and 2 of the kids in a study for CMT (the third didn't want to do the blood draw). This way we will get an answer on the two of them at least, and since it is part of a study, won't be something the insurance companies ever need to know about. Guest guest
Jen, sorry for the late response -- just got back from vacation. I found the study here on this site, someone from University of Miami was looking for subjects. If you can't find it, I'll give you her email. I haven't experienced discrimination, but don't want the children to have anything that may cause them to be ineligible for insurance as they grow into adults and have their own policies. I think I'd rather keep the genetic diagnosis out of the official records for them until and unless there are good laws passed on anti-discrimination due to pre-existing conditions. So far if they have a sprained ankle, they get the sprained ankle treated just the same .... Holli
