Guest guest
Hi Dawn, Yes, genetic testing can be expensive but it will also depend on your insurance. For my son I only had to pay my co-pay and co-insurance which still was a lot of $ but it had to do with my insurance plan at the time. My sister's insurance covered everything. They had it done through Athena Diagnostics and they call me first and went over the costs before they proceeded. The also offer an assistance program where you will only be responsible for a certain amount of the cost if your insurance wont cover it. If memory serves me correct it was 20% of the total cost. If they won't give you the paperwork for the testing, I'd suggest you go to another neurologist who will. Good luck! Carmella
