Guest guest
, My counselor recommends that I picture a river, and my stressors and worries are represented as leaves falling into the river and flowing away. I haven't tried it yet, but I have tried other relaxation techiques that she has taught me. Just sit in a quiet place, shut your eyes, and first start by relaxing your body, paying attention to your breathing, and starting from the top of your head to the bottom of your toes - relax your head, then your neck, your shoulders, arms, fingers, legs, feet, toes, etc. Once you're feeling relaxed, then think about what's worrying you and picture it as a leaf falling off a tree, into the river, and flowing down the river. You only need to spend a few minutes doing this, and then slowly bring yourself back and open your eyes. Sis > > > Now this type of information scares me.
