Guest guest
Mandy, I have type IA. And do read your chart! You have to be your own advocate! 2 months ago I had both knees replaced. The anesthesiologist tried to do a nerve block by stimulating the nerves with his hands. I had told him I had CMT and he thought that only meant a Charcot foot! I then enlightened him as to how CMT was a peripheral neuropathy and asked if he had Nerve Conduction or EMG equipment handy. Well no. End result was no nerve block but that worked out ok too. I had no uncontrollable pain post-op and already my gait and endurance are much improved. Anyway, we have to be aware of our own bodies and not let others either scare us or discourage us . Keep up the good work. Remember when you get down you can all join my BMW club. (Bitch, moan and whine!) Penny
