Guest guest
I am Bruce Page, a Presbyterian minister. A member of my congregation (Joe) found he couldn't walk 5 days ago. His doctors decided that he had a mini-stroke, undedectable with CAT scan or MRI, and have already sent him for rehab. Then his brother in law declared by phone to Joe's wife that of course he has C.M.T. I can't see much of a connection for an 85-year-old to suddenly show signs of this hereditary disease (though he does have perhaps 2 cousins who have had it since a young age). He was driving and walking and taking care of his wife through the night before! His only preliminary symptoms were a blocked carotid artery, some hearing loss, and gradual weight loss over perhaps a year. I am sure that Joe's wife's relay of this information was disturbing. I am not yet in a position to talk with his brother in law; but I can at least get Joe some information.
