Hi. Although I have not passed out during any of mine (have had 5 of them)

I have had to lay down afterwards since it seemed to zap me of all energy.

I just always felt very wiped out after. Am very curious to see if anyone

else experienced what your husband did. How scary that must of been for

your daughter. Hopefully you will get some good answers to share with her

to lessen her fears.

Sorry, I've never had the test done and don't believe in having it done. There

is no therapuetic value and I already had my diagnosis. I don't see the need for

testing when they already know I have CMT. I was told by my MDA doctor that it

was just for research sake it didn't change their treatment plan (not that they

ever have a plan). I hope your husband is feeling better.

I have issues with needles and blood and during my only NCV test on my legs

a few years ago I did pass out. I'm some what used to it though. Thankfully

the dr got enough information to make a diagnosis. I just had the test done

on my hands and arms last week and I didn't pass out.

For me passing out is just something that happens with needles and blood.

Like I said I'm used to it and it isn't really that big of a deal for me. I

know the warning signs and am pretty good about preparing and telling the

people around me. The most important thing to do if you feel like you are

going to pass it is to either put your head between your legs or get on the

floor and put your feet up a little bit. I personally would recommend

getting on the floor as you'll be less likely to hurt yourself by falling

out of a chair or any other high object.
