Guest guest
Hi Anita, I believe that exercise has benefitted me. I need to get back to focusing on including core strength exercises in my routine - my physiotherapist totally recommended these, but right now I am still in the swim and cycle routine. As he had an arm break, a good thing to look into is stretch therapy for his arm when it comes out of the cast. I just had elbow surgery in October and once out of my splinting in January needed good stretch therapy to get the aching out of my wrist - and I was really worried about wrist wasting due to the CMT / nerve / muscle interaction. The stretching really helped me to feel better I think and to prepare me for exercise. I am still not back to yoga yet, though. Gretchen the moderator extraordinaire has posted before on her aqua routine. I used to do a lot of aqua too, and found it beneficial. You can do some things for balance that are really silly sounding but great. For example I am still meaning to go to get a wobble board (a physio device kind of like a bumpy flattish air cushion) to stand on in the kitchen while cooking. It is hard to stand still on it, but it works the core muscles. Good luck, Donna from London
