We visited Seattle and Vancouver B.C. in February over 20 years ago. Snow fell while we were in Vancouver, and it sort of paralized things. (snow did not last long, was not as severe as what you are experiencing now)

We loved Seattle, went back a few years later in spring/summer.

Are you familiar with the true crime writer Anne Rule?? She is based in Seattle.

A Star Treck Novel, Ishmael, was set in Seattle's early years.

Here in the normally-merely- wet-but-mild Pacific Northwest (Seattle area is where I'm at) it has been absolutely bizarre for this area.
