That " … is a member of the Homeland Security Committee in Congress and gets frequent Top Secret briefings about terrorism. He is well aware of dangers that we never hear about. ... " is no recommendation for his election. If we " never hear about these dangers, " how are we to judge his competence? is a family-oriented person with a background of Christian beliefs and values that he exemplifies in his daily life. Do these beliefs extend to the fair minimum wage or the Medicare Prescription Drug Price Negotiation Act and against health care for children – among the plethora of his no votes contrary to the interest of 1st District citizens? His hollow blathering about " … moral values and life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness ... " is a cover that is supposed to disguise his votes against the Animal Fighting Prohibition Enforcement Act and his introduction of the " landmark " ' resolution for American Eagle Day on June 5, 2008. And we pay his $169,300 salary plus benefits. Rufus Morison Bristol, Tenn.
