Exercise and nerve loss

In the discussion about the use and loss of hand functioning, said:

" Overuse and overexertion can increase the nerve loss "

Has anyone found a medical study that supports this? I have seen a number

of posts from those of us with CMT claiming the same, but I want the medical

proof.

My doctors at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in the UK

have also never advised me of this. Indeed they seem to support exercise

and physio therapy regimes that I do - and trust me I am pretty active. But

I am about to embark on a yearlong " experiment " in fitness and would like

the medical articles detailing the above to fine tune my approach with my

doctors, physiotherapists, trainers, coaches, and nutritionist!

Thanks,

Donna from London
