My husband is genotype 1. He has had a spinal cord injury with partial paralysis from the waist down since he was 19. He worked long and hard for 20yrs like this. He has been on disability now for 6 yrs. He worked with the spinal cord injury but treatment has kicked his butt. There are a lot of side effects. Some of them are more difficult than others, but he is a fighter, he always has been. I watch him take his medicine and give him his shots. I watch him get sick, dizzy, tremble, freeze and sweat and those are the least of his worries. There is a lot goes into this treatment, both for the ones on treatment, and the family members that "go" through treatment with them. Some have it easier than others. I think what I am trying to say is fight. Don't give up. However you are treating, be it with the "chemo therapy", alternative medicine, or prayer. Whatever it is keep doing what you feel is right for you. This does not mean copping out, but taking a long honest look at what you can do. I think sometimes we can surprise ourselves. We are lucky. We have a great support group of family and friends. God has blessed us in many ways. Yet even with all of this we get tired, lonely, and scared. I joined this group to find what I was missing and I found it. There is nothing like "cussing and discussing" with people who have been there and/or are there. My prayers are with you all. Most people truly don't realize what Hep C is or what it can do. I both fortunately and unfortunately now know. WOW, guess I needed that. Love to you all.Jackie

Guest guest
Thanks, Kay. My favorite line is... " You can draw great strength from the connection you have with others. " So glad we are all connected with one another and can be a support to each other! So glad we have the Internet!
